Tooltips (WordPress, SEO)

You can add a so-called link text to an URL in WordPress. This text can subsequently be displayed as a tooltip

A tooltip is not an attribute. Its a way in which certain objects (like certain attributes) are manifested.

Within WordPress, the following objects/attributes/whatever seem most likely to rear their heads as tooltips:

• Image title attribute
• Link text thingy, part of links.

UI

Tooltips are supposed to be used fo the user interface, and even there it's doubtful if you really need them.

SEO value?

• SEO value seems nihil: Title attributes are already of questionable value, so the link text thingy won't be better
• Focus on alt texts
• Don't use them for this purpose.
