Laptop Emi2020 switches off
Problem
- Laptop Emi2020 occasionally switches itself off
- At times, it first seems to switch to hibarnation before switching off.
Info & Actions
- This problem is since the beginning of the use of this laptop, in the summer of 2020
- It's a second-hand Dell Latitude E6540 laptop. This is the same kind of laptop as Dell2020 and the problem seems similar as discussed here: Laptop Dell2020 switches off
- At one time, I left the laptop on in BIOS, and the next day it hadn't switched itself off.
Possible causes
Temperature?
I doesn't seem to be related to temperature, especially since the laptop sometimes switches itself off when only been used for minutes, and there doesn't seem to be a correlation with workload.
Charger?
- This seems similar to what happened here: Laptop Dell2020 switches off, except that in this case, a Dell charger is being used.
