  • Enable subaccounts for access to business partners
  • Extend to multiple marketplaces?

  • Update business processes to meet Amazon's performance requirements
  • Make sure to meet these performance requirements

Fee structure for professional sellers

Commission for some categories:

  • DIY: 13% - min. € 0,30
  • Furniture: 15% - min. € 0,30.

Individual vs. professional plan

Some limitations to the individual plan:

  • Max. 35 sales/month
  • No advertising

Also, with the individual plan, you can't use these:

  • Request to sell in additional categories
  • Listings in bulk
  • Manage inventory with feeds, spreadsheets, and reports
  • API integration
  • Set your own shipping rates for non-media products
  • On-site advertising tools
  • Run promotions that include free shipping
  • Add multiple users to your account.

Register as a seller

Needed to register as a seller sell.amazon.nl, but with UK specifics, [1]:

  • Email address: Your Amazon customer account email address (for private sellers) or a business email address
  • Private or company credit card details
  • Submission of a valid ID document (a passport copy or a national identity card, for example)
  • For professional accounts: Company registration details including tax certificates (?)
  • Phone number
  • Bank account details.

Choose a display name

When registering as a professional seller on Amazon, you can choose a Display Name (also known as a Seller Name) that customers will see on your storefront and product listings. This name doesn't have to match your company's legal name. However, your Legal Business Name, used for tax and verification purposes, must correspond to your registered business name.

  • Sole Proprietors: If you're operating as a sole proprietor, Amazon may display your personal name as the business name. To maintain privacy, consider registering a "Doing Business As" (DBA) name. This allows you to use a business name different from your personal name
  • Changing Display Name: You can update your Display Name through Seller Central. Navigate to Settings > Account Info > Your Seller Profile, and edit the Store Details section. Ensure the new name aligns with your brand identity and complies with Amazon's guidelines.

URL as display name

Maybe consider to use the URL of your company site as display name:

  • It is important to not be too dependent on Amazon, and maybe this will migrate some customers from Amazon to your own site
  • Cheaper.

However, check if Amazon is ok with this.

Registered name

Make sure someone else can't register your name. E.g.: Use your brand name or DBA.
