Probably the most intuitive way to share documents:

1. Go to your account on dropbox.com
2. Go the file or folder you want so share
3. Activate sharing + add email address

More flexible - less save:

1. Go to your account on dropbox.com
2. Go the file or folder you want so share
3. Choose Copy link
4. Paste that link wherever you want.

Notes:

• Everybody with this link, has access to these files - There is no further authentication! That's good news and bad news
• Folks who access this content through a link, don't see the complete path - Very good
• On 2023.07.10, I tried this within Notion for sharing access to the resouces of a project. It seems very intuitive - See screenshot somewhere around here
• I believe you can create links with or without edit-privileges.
