The app drawer is the screen or menu on Android where all your installed apps are listed. It’s separate from the home screen, where you usually place your most-used apps or widgets:

  • You usually access it by swiping up from the bottom of the home screen (on most modern Android phones, including Samsung)
  • It contains all installed apps, whether or not they appear on your home screen
  • Apps are usually listed in alphabetical order, either in a grid or a vertical list
  • You can search, scroll, or sort your apps from here.

Think of it like a master list of everything on your phone, whereas the home screen is like a curated "favorites" board.

Some launchers (like Niagara or AIO) blur the lines between the home screen and app drawer, creating one seamless scroll or list.
